The wolf eel is a tier 9 animal. It is based on its real-life counterpart, Anarrhichthys ocellatus.

Cling TBA 600 MS Charging your boost allow you to cling onto tiers 8-10 from the side / back, and damage the target you are latched to by 4% of their max health. Charge your boost while latched again to deal 100 damage to the latched target, and inflict bleeding (this costs half of your boost). Target can shake rapidly to loosen you, and you also get your boost bar filled from food eaten by the target.
Grab TBA 600 MS Charging your boost allows you to grab tiers 7-3 and inflict bleeding by shaking them. You also deal 70 damage when grabbing a target.

  • The suitable biome(s) for the Wolf eel is the deeeep and the arctic.
    • If a wolf eel enters the ocean, it will lose temperature.

Strategy[ | ]

  • As your stats make you a fragile fighter, it is advised to avoid tier 10s and evolve as quickly as possible (except in PD, if you want to stay as Wolf Eel)
  • The ability to latch onto tier 8-10 animals is very powerful if utilized correctly.
    • Charging your boost while latched will deal additional damage and boost your DPS, which can deal hefty damage to tier 10s.
    • Try to latch onto unsuspecting / low-health tier 10s, as you'll be able to attack them easily (unless they are experienced players, which they'll probably shake you off)
  • LMJs are very easy to kill with your Latch ability, so you could try to farm them.
  • Like most latching animals (except Lamprey or Anaconda), you are vulnerable to outside sources of damage, so make sure to unlatch and boost away if low on health.
  • Your main prey should be other tier 9s or tier 8s, as tier 10s are vastly stronger than most tier 9s.
  • Don't try to latch onto tanks, especially whales with bleed reduction, as your DPS isn't too effective on them.
    • This doesn't matter if they're low on health.
