The sardine is a simple NPC animal that will flee from players.
Mechanics[ | ]
- there are no animals that evolve into sardines or from it, as they are an NPC animal.
- sardines don't drop any meat upon death, but instead it gives 500 xp upon being eaten.
- sardines cannot damage anything.

- A sardine's behaviour is:
- being in groups.
- fleeing from players.
- staying within the ocean.
suitabe biomes[ | ]
The only suitable biome for a sardine is the ocean.
- if a sardine enters the ocean surface it will lose oxygen.
- if a sardine enters the arctic it will lose temperature.
- if a sardine enters the arctic surface it will lose temperature and oxygen.
- if a sardine enters the swamp it will lose salinity.
- if a sardine enters the swamp surface it will lose oxygen and won't regenerate salinity.
- if a sardine enters the deep it will lose pressure.
However, due to how their AI works, they will always stay within the ocean, but sometimes get stuck in islands.
