Mechanics[]
- Sea turtles evolve into Napoleon wrasses.
- 48,000 XP is required for a sea turtle to evolve into a Napoleon wrasse.
- Napoleon wrasses do not evolve into any other animals, as they are a tier 10.
- Napoleon wrasses drop meat and skeletons upon death.
- As a Napoleon wrasse, friendly fire is turned off for all tier 1 animals: meaning you cannot damage them nor be damaged by them.
Abilities[]
Passive Abilities[]
- You aren't slowed down by coral fans or table corals.
- You pass through sand blocks built by you (but you are still able to break blocks built by other Napoleon wrasses).
Active Abilities[]
Suitable Biomes[]
- The suitable biome(s) for the Napoleon wrasse is the ocean only (warm, shallow, and salt waters in open beta).
- If a Napoleon wrasse enters the surface of the water, they will lose oxygen; additionally, they will not regain salinity if they are in the swamp surface.
- If a Napoleon wrasse enters the arctic, they will lose temperature.
- If a Napoleon wrasse enters the deeeep, they will lose pressure.
- If a Napoleon wrasse enters the swamp, they will lose salinity.
Diet[]
Napoleon Wrasse is able to eat all the food types that exist in beta except for coconuts, shipwreck-generated bubbles, berries, apples and dam food.
For a full food list, see Food & Diet.
Strategy[]
- You should utilize the reef / estuary in most maps for building possible structures to help you.
- Blocking off narrow places will conserve the amount of blocks left to use, while also blocking an escape path for potential prey.
- Making a cage for you to protect yourself in is also a good way of survivability; do note that determined predators can still break it; if not attack you via projectiles.
- You can pick up already placed blocks by putting your cursor on the block and holding your boost to full. (Tip: don't be too close to the block or it will not work).
- You can utilize currents by making traps at the end of the current. The current will pull down low-tiers, and they cannot escape due to the force of the current, thus letting you easily catch prey and kill it for XP.
- Do not try to use your buildings to build for fun; this will not be of much help, and potentially makes you an easy target for predators.
- Be careful when attacking; you don't have very much health compared to tanks like Cachalots, nor do you have a powerful stun ability like Atlantic Torpedo.
- Avoid grabbers like Orcas and Crocodiles; the latter can be killed if it misses its grabs, but the former has a higher base health than you do.
- Your dash ability is replaced with a charge-to-dash ability. Keep this in mind when fighting opponents.
- In PD, your role is mainly defense; place sand-blocks on the clam to add extra protection to it.
- In 1v1s, you can use your sand-block as a weak shield, allowing you to easily block devastating hits, and gain some extra milliseconds of charging up your normal boost.
- Watch out for stunners like Sleeper Sharks, Atlantic Torpedoes (who inhabit the reef), Coconut Crabs, and Humpback Whales using their Blast song. Their stuns will immediately stop your attempt to get away, and lets them secure a free hit or two. Use sand-blocks if necessary to get away.
- Your main targets should be low-tier animals that are easy to kill, or inexperienced higher tier players.
- Your charge boost does a lot of damage, but it is highly predictable, so your primary targets should be animals who won't be able to react too fast.
- In 1v1s, if both you and your target are on low health, and are about to facetank for the last hit, try to charge up your boost as soon as you can; your higher damage will give them less health, and thus let you win.
- This won't work if they already know how to counter you with a stun, in certain cases.
Hiding Places[]
Napoleon Wrasse can hide inside the Giant shipwreck and nowhere else.

Trivia[]
- In the very first days that this animal was added, people teamed or truced with it, building for fun. This then prompted some others that opposed them to attack. Though this "war" was largely community based, it fizzled out as fast as it appeared.
- The Napoleon wrasse's ability to build sand-blocks is based off the Humphead parrotfish, the creator of concept (u/ManManBoii) said that he confused these two. When parrotfishes chew on coral they then deposit the rest which happens to be just sand! Even more crazy that 80% of the sand around tropical coral reefs is parrotfish poop!
