The Lamprey is a tier 2 animal. It is designed by Ma Qiao Ting. It is based on its real life counterpart, the Sea Lamprey, Petromyzon marinus.
Mechanics[]
- Worms and Piranhas evolve into lampreys.
- 4,000 XP is required for a worm to evolve into a lamprey.
- Lampreys evolve into jellyfish, frogs, flying fish, olm, horseshoe crab
- 7,000 XP is required for a lamprey to evolve into the next animal.
- Lampreys drop meat, upon death
- Lampreys do not turn invisible when the tiger shark they're latching on turns invisible
- As a lamprey, friendly fire is turned off for other lampreys and oarfish: meaning you cannot damage them nor be damaged by them nor attach to them.
- Your best food sources are plankton, ice, shrubs
Abilities[]
Abilities[]
Can latch on to most animals Level 5 or higher; getting some extra xp from the food they eat for themselves.
- Note that the extra xp is not stolen; instead it is a duplicate.
- Touching the back or the sides of an animal will automatically make the lamprey latch to the animal, regardless if the lamprey dashed forward at the animal.
Diet[]
This is a complete list of food that lampreys can eat.
| Name | Can be eaten by | Image | XP | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Barb | All except for the stonefish who spawned it | 0 | Spawns behind a stonefish using their active ability. Deals damage upon eating it (7% of max life). Poisons anyone who eats it with a base DPS of 10% that lasts 5 seconds (except poison-immune animals). Despawns after 4 seconds. | |

| Anglerfish Bait | All Animals except for the Anglerfish who spawned it | 0 | Spawns infront of an Anglerfish when it is stationary (as its passive ability). No fixed look, resembles the last food the Anglerfish eats. It does nothing too, but the Anglerfish will deal twice as much damage (100x2, therefore 200) to the animal that ate it |
