The Icefish (in game ID: icefish) is one of the six Tier 1 Animals a player can choose to start as in Deeeep.io. It is based on the animal family Channichthyidae, which is the only known vertebrate to lack haemoglobin[1], which makes the blood of this species colourless instead of crimson. [2] The Creator of this animal is user FIIIISH, which also created the Piranha, another Tier 1 Animal.

You heal faster while holding still (faster regeneration 3x per second).
Mechanics[ | ]
Here is the list of mechanics that apply to the Icefish intentionally in the game (As of the FFA gamemode).
- Icefish are Tier 1 Animals, meaning that there are no existing animals that evolve into them.
- King Crabs evolve from Icefish. 4,000XP is required for the later to evolve into a King Crab.
- Like other Tier 1 to Tier 8 Animals, the Icefish is not able to damage or be damaged by their own kind. [Post Version 4]
- Like most Tier 1 Animals, the Icefish is not able to damage or be damaged by the Oarfish and Tier 10 Animals in any way. [Post Version 4]
- Icefish do not drop meat upon death, like other animals on its tier. Instead, they grant XP to the animal who killed them.
Abilities[ | ]
Each animal has its own unique abilities, and even the small Icefish has a few tricks of its own.
Active Abilities[ | ]
- Like most animals in the game, the icefish is able to dash boost. Left clicking [Mouse] , clicking on the spacebar [PC and laptop] or interacting with the ‘Boost’ button [Mobile] will cause it to impulse itself forward. This will deal 25% more damage to animals (in this case: 20DPS + [25/100 x 20 = 5]DPS = 25DPS).
Passive Abilities[ | ]
- Icefish will have their regeneration speed increased by 3x while holding still.
Suitable Biomes[ | ]
Each animal will at least have a habitat that is suitable for them to live in. Suitable habitats for a Icefish are Cold, Salt and Shallow Waters.
- If an Icefish enters a Warm habitat, it will lose temperature.
- If an Icefish enters a Fresh habitat, it will lose salinity.
- If an Icefish enters a Deep habitat, it will lose pressure.
- If an Icefish gets out of the water, it will lose oxygen.
