The Crocodile is a tier 10 animal. It is based on its real life counterpart, the Nile Crocodile, Crocodylus niloticus.

Mechanics[]

Manatees evolve into crocodiles
Crocodiles drop meat and a skeleton upon death.
As a crocodile, friendly fire is turned off for all tier 1 animals, excluding Piranhas: meaning you cannot damage them nor be damaged by them.

Stand still near the surface to disguise as a beaver dam.

Active Abilities[]

Like most of other animals, crocodiles can do a Boost if it didn't charged the boost. It impulse yourself forward. Targets hit by a dashing animal will receive +25% damage. In this case, 175 damage.

You can't grab Whales, Cachalots, Whale Sharks, Humpback Whales, Basking Sharks, Hippos and Bowhead Whales. You also can't grab Megamouth Shark, Goblin Shark, Sunfish and Arapaima when they are using their Charged/Dash Boost.

If used correctly, it causes very high damage to any animal. If a Crocodile tries to grab an ungrabable animal, it only causes 175 damage. It can draw a maximum of 35% (5% per hit , 7 times maximum) on a target.

Suitable Biomes[]

The suitable biome for the crocodile is the swamp and the swamp surface.
- If a crocodile enters the ocean, it will lose salinity and oxygen.
- If a crocodile enters the ocean surface, it will not regenerate salinity
- If a crocodile enters the arctic, it will lose salinity.
- If a crocodile enters the arctic surface, it will not regenerate salinity.(unless in salinity pool)
- If a crocodile enters the deep, it will lose pressure and salinity.
- If a crocodile enters the swamp, it will lose oxygen; however it can swim and its oxygen time is long enough for this to not matter.

Crocodiles can only hide in Giant Shipwreck as a tier 10 animal.

Seasonal skins can only be used in certain seasons, such as Christmas, Lunar New Year etc. They will disappear from the Store once the Season is over, but will be back next year, and remain in the player's inventory if they bought them.

Trivia[]

On the crocodile's release, it was considered incredibly OP due to having 3 boosts, also do not need to charge to use its ability. which means it could kill any grabbable animal if all three boosts were used.

There was a change made by nac during v4 beta. he changed crocodile's grab time from 5 seconds to 3 seconds, which caused some "bugs" and Crocodile became almost unplayable during that period, because the shake damage was much lower than before. it was about to become the weakest tier 10 in that time.
