Mechanics[ | ]
- Wolf Eels can evolve into Coelacanths.
- 48,000 XP is required for wolf eels to evolve into coelacanths.
- Coelacanths do not evolve into any other animals, as they are a tier 10 animal.
- Coelacanths drop meat upon death.
- As a coelacanth, friendly fire is off for all tier 1 animals, meaning you can't damage them nor be damaged by them.
Abilities[ | ]
Passive Abilities[ | ]
- You can eat skeletons and shells, unlike most other tier 10s.
- Eating skeletons and shells will respawn your skeleton drones.
Active Abilities[ | ]
Name | Image | Charge Time | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Drone Launch | TBA | 50 MS | Charging your boost launches one of your drones on a target, dealing 50 damage, and slowing them for a few seconds. The maximum drones you can have is 6. Regain them by biting other players / shells, or biting skeletons. |
Suitable Biomes[ | ]
- The suitable biome(s) for the coelacanth is the deeeep only (warm / cold, deeeep, salt biomes in open beta.).
- If a coelacanth enters the arctic or the ocean, it will lose pressure.
- If a coelacanth enters the arctic surface or the ocean surface, it will lose pressure and oxygen.
- If a coelacanth enters the swamp, it will lose pressure and salinity.
- If a coelacanth enters the swamp surface, it will lose pressure, and it will not regenerate salinity.
Diet[ | ]
TBA
Strategy[ | ]
- Your drones act as storage for extra damage. Use them to finish off targets.
- Having no drones makes you very vulnerable, but having no boosts does so too.
- If you run out of drones during a fight/chase, you can quickly regain them by eating AI fish like the lanternfish.
- Fast targets will not be affected much by the slowness you inflict with your drones unless they're too slow to run.
- The slowness of being hit stacks with your drone slowness. Use this to your advantage.
- Avoid getting air-pinned by Giant Squids or False Killer Whales since you can't use your drones out of water!
Skins[ | ]
Skins are cosmetics used to change an animal's looks, or sometimes, an animal’s biome or size statistics slightly. The table below shows the list of approved skins that can be used for the Coelacanth.
Realistic Skins[ | ]
Realistic skins can be used at every time of the year. They are mostly based on real-life species or adjectives such as 'Battle-Scarred' or 'Dark'.
