Revision as of 19:32, 3 March 2020
Biomes are regions of the map that contain different forms of food, terrain, and even different animals (by giving afflictions to animals that do not belong in a certain biome) from one another.
King list
The king list is a special leaderboard located in the top left corner of your screen when in-game. It lists the players who have the highest score of any other animal suited to their biome. There is a small icon to the right of each player shown in the leaderboard that represents what their animal is. ‘qwertydogg’ is usually the name of specific leaders of the deeeep biome.
Biome afflictions
A biome affliction is a negative effect that is put on animals who stay in a biome for too long when they are not supposed to inhabit it (e.g. if an ocean surface animal stays in the ocean for too long, they will lose oxygen and vice versa). Biome afflictions range from losing oxygen (drowning/suffocating) to losing pressure. The effects biome afflictions have on animals are mostly just taking DPS. Usually the only differences between afflictions are the common times each affliction gives an animal before they start taking damage, and the amount of damage that is dealt every second. An animal can have multiple biome afflictions at the same time.
This is a list of biome afflictions:
Affliction | Common time | Description |
---|---|---|
Oxygen | 10 | Affects surface animals that enter the water and vice versa.
Affects stonefish when burrowing. Leaving the water as a surface animal instantly restores all oxygen. If a surface animal eats a bubble, it will restore oxygen. |
Temperature | 6 | When taking damage, you are also slowed down.
Afflects arctic animals that leave the arctic and vice versa. If a non-arctic animal eats volcano food, it will restore temperature. Temperature is restored when absorbed by a whale. |
Pressure | 3 | Affects deeeep animals that leave the deeeep and vice versa. |
Salinity | 1 | HP does not regen when you are taking damage.
Affects swamp animals that leave the swamp and vice versa. The surfaces do not drain salinity, but do not restore it either. |
Ocean
The largest biome in the game, the borders of its region cover the center of the map.
Animals that are not suited for the ocean will experience the following afflictions:
- Animals from the ocean surface will lose oxygen in the ocean (though some animals that lose oxygen while in the ocean are still suited to it as they can swim and have long oxygen times).
- Animals from the arctic will lose temperature in the ocean.
- Animals from the arctic surface will lose temperature and oxygen in the ocean.
- Animals from the deeeep will lose pressure in the ocean.
- Animals from the swamp will lose salinity in the ocean.

Arctic
A cold-themed biome, pollock spawn here. It is located to the left of the map.
Animals that are not suited for the arctic will experience the following afflictions:
- Animals from the ocean will lose temperature in the arctic.
- Animals from the ocean surface will lose oxygen and temperature in the arctic.
- Animals from the arctic surface will lose oxygen in the arctic (though some animals that lose oxygen while in the arctic are still suited to it as they can swim and have long oxygen times).

Arctic surface
The most barren biome in the game, no food and barely any terrain ever spawn here. Located above the arctic.
Animals that are not suited for the arctic surface will experience the following afflictions:
- Animals from the ocean will lose oxygen and temperature in the arctic surface.
- Animals from the ocean surface will lose temperature in the arctic surface.
- Animals from the arctic will lose oxygen in the arctic surface.

Arctic surface food
The arctic surface does not contain any naturally-spawning food whatsoever. The only way any food would appear here is if a player died and they dropped meat or if a seagull flew over and bird poop spawned underneath them.
arctic deeeep
Deeeep
The second largest biome, this biome has a border consisting of several small chunks of land outlining the border between it and the ocean. Located at the bottom-left of the center of the map. In addition, you cannot see as far in this biome.
Animals that are not suited for the deeeep will experience the following afflictions:
- Animals from the ocean will lose pressure in the deeeep.
- Animals from the ocean surface will lose oxygen and pressure in the deeeep.
- Animals from the arctic will lose pressure and temperature in the deeeep.
- Animals from the arctic surface will lose oxygen, temperature, and pressure in the deeeep.
- Animals from the swamp will lose pressure and salinity in the deeeep.
