Mechanics[ | ]

  • Narwhals evolve into beaked whales.
    • 48,000 XP is required for a narwhal to evolve into a beaked whale.
  • Beaked whales do not evolve into any other animals, as they are one of the latest animals.
  • Beaked whales drop meat upon death.
  • As a beaked whale, friendly fire is turned off for all tier 1 animals: meaning you cannot damage them nor be damaged by them.

Abilities[ | ]

Passive Abilities[ | ]

Name Image Description
Echolocation EcholocationBeaked (1) Icons for animals appear on your screen if they have a bubble you fired attached to them, similar to a Bald Eagle's passive ability. These icons will get transparent and smaller the further away they are, and opaque and bigger the closer they are.

Active Abilities[ | ]

Name Image Charge Time Description
Bubble Fire BubbleFireBeaked 750 MS Charge your boost fully to fire a bubble that bounces on surfaces, and will attach to animals that it touches, except yourself. You can attach a maximum of 3 bubbles onto a target.
Detonate Bubbles BubblePopBeaked 375 MS Charge your boost half-way to detonate all the bubbles you fired. Bubbles that are attached to animals explode, dealing 150 damage each, and a stun for 0.25 seconds that stacks. You also gain a +%25 speed boost for 3 seconds.

Suitable Biomes[ | ]

  • The suitable biomes for the beaked whale are the arctic / arctic surface, ocean / ocean surface, and the deeeep (cold / warm, shallow / deep, and fresh waters in the open beta.)
    • If a beaked whale enters the arctic, ocean, or the deeeep, they will lose oxygen, however its oxygen time is long enough for this to not matter.
    • If a beaked whale enters the swamp, they will lose salinity.
    • If a beaked whale enters the swamp surface, they will not regenerate salinity.

Diet[ | ]

This is a complete list of all the food a beaked whale can eat.

Name Can be eaten by Image XP Description

Bubble All animals that breathe air Bubble 0 Affected by gravity, floats upwards. Spawns out of the window of the shipwreck. Replenishes oxygen to animals that breathe air.
Bird Poop All except for lamprey and seagull Bird Poop 10 Affected by gravity. Automatically spawns below any seagull every 10 seconds.
Plankton All Food 250 Spawns in the ocean.
Ice All Ice 250 Spawns in the arctic and deeeep.
Reef Food All Reeffood 250 Spawns in the reef.
Volcano Food All except lamprey Lavabubble 125 Affected by gravity, floats upwards. Spawns out of volcanoes, which can be hidden in and are located in the arctic and the deeeep. When eaten as an animal that is not suited to the arctic, it will replenish some of your temperature.
Human Tier 9 to tier 10 except sunfish and stonefish Man 300 Spawns just above the water. Does not spawn in the arctic. Rarely put in maps by mapmakers.
Flappy Duck Ray to tier 10 Flappyduck 675 Spawns in a horizontal line just below the height limit. Rarely put in maps by mapmakers.
Anglerfish Bait All Animals except for the Anglerfish who spawned it 0 Spawns infront of an Angler Fish when it is stationary (as its passive ability). No fixed look, resembles the last food the Angler Fish eats. It does nothing too, but the Angler Fish will deal twice as much damage (100x2) to the animal that ate it
Meat All Meat 1000 Spawns where an animal dies (tier 2 to tier 10 animals only). The amount of meat that spawns depends on what animal it was.

Strategy[ | ]

  • Utilize your bubbles for a ranged attack. Remember to always keep at least one boost on you, to escape sticky situations.
    • Don't waste your boost firing a bubble at an Icewall made by a Bowhead Whale; the Icewall will simply block it.
    • If you keep two boosts on you, you can fire one bubble at them. When you're low on health, detonate your bubble to stun them temporarily and get a speed boost, then boost away. If done right, and you make sure to get as much food as you can after that escape, you should survive.
  • You can fire your bubbles in the air, so you can use this to attack land animals, particularly Coconut Crabs and Bald Eagles.
    • You can also fire bubbles at beached animals.
  • The maximum amount of damage you can do with your bubbles is 450 damage, so keep this in mind when fighting tanks like the Cachalot and the Whale.
  • Try to prevent your target from air-boosting away, since if they get too far, your bubbles will pop on them without any damage being dealt.
  • Your prey are targets that don't particularly have great damage-dealing attacks, or non-tank targets.
  • Be careful as Cachalot's slow wave can destroy your bubbles.
  • Your unusually high oxygen time gives you an advantage against Anaconda; suffocation from the Anaconda will not put your oxygen in danger.
  • Don't hunt in the estuary unless you know what you're doing. Third-partiers are likely to kill you when low.

Skins[ | ]

The beaked whale currently doesn't have any skins.

Trivia[ | ]

  • The beaked whale's ability, shooting bubbles, is related loosely on the real-life fact that beaked whales use bubble-nets to catch groups of fish and eat them.
    • However, the Humpback Whale is better known for this than the Beaked Whale.
